HDFC Tech Innovators 2025 honors Pramatra Space founder, with the ‘Emerging Woman Founder’ Award

We are proud to share that Pramatra Space has been recognized and selected as one of the Top 12 innovator companies by the HDFC Bank Group at their prestigious HDFC Tech Innovators event held in Mumbai on 3rd December 2025. Our Founder and CEO, Ms.Richa Hukumchand has been conferred the "Emerging Women Founder 2025" award at the event. The HDFC Tech Innovators event is an annual event organised by HDFC Bank, HDFC Capital, and HDFC AMC to recognise and felicitate tech founders who dare to disrupt existing technologies and products across various sectors.

This year's edition drew applications from over 1,600 startups across 290+ cities in India. For the first time, HDFC Tech Innovators introduced a dedicated Defence and Space Tech category,  a recognition in itself that quantum-secure space communications has moved from niche to necessary. 

The urgency of what we are building cannot be overstated. Quantum computers are advancing at a pace that will render today's encryption obsolete and expose critical national infrastructure, defence establishments and institutions of public trust like financial regulators and banks to cybersecurity threats. Quantum-secure infrastructure is not an upgrade. It is fundamental to build now, before the threat fully materialises.

That is precisely why an institution like HDFC Bank Group recognising Pramatra at this stage carries particular weight.It signals that one of India’s most important financial institutions understands what is at stake and is paying attention to the solution. 

"India's quantum ecosystem is just beginning to take shape. Being recognised at this stage, by HDFC Tech Innovators, tells us we're building in the right direction and that the ecosystem is ready to grow with us." 

This recognition serves as an affirmation for the team that the problem we are addressing is real, that our approach is credible, and that the country’s innovation ecosystem is ready to provide support for long term innovation. 

We celebrate this recognition with gratitude and also acknowledge that it fuels our momentum to move faster. As we advance our technology roadmap and work toward our first satellite mission, such milestones sharpen our focus and strengthen our resolve to build the quantum secure communication backbone that India and the world will need. .
